New to beekeeping registration form

‍If you are the owner of one or more beehives in New Zealand which are outside on an apiary site and can be accessed by bees, you must be registered as a beekeeper under the AFB National Pest Management Plan.

If you have an email address, the easiest way to register as a new beekeeper is through HiveHub.  Click here and select the “Register Now” option. 

Or simply fill in the form below by completing all required fields and submit the details. 

Alternatively a hard copy of this form is available by clicking here. You can print the form, complete by hand and email a copy to apiary@nzbb.org.nz or post to NZBB at PO Box 88, Rolleston 7643.

(Please note If you have been registered as a beekeeper before, then you should email apiary@nzbb.org.nz to request your unique registration number be reactivated or contact our Apiary Coordinators on 0800 232 767.) 

There is no charge to register yourself as a beekeeper however all registered beekeepers are required to pay an annual AFB levy.  You will be invoiced for this directly in early April. Further information on the levy can be found here.
