Notes
During the checkout process, there will be a registration form to complete. Payment is made via PayPal - if you do not have a PayPal account, select the “guest mode” option to use your credit card. If you would prefer to pay direct to our bank account, please email training@nzbb.org.nz with the details of the course you wish to attend and you can register without completing the “register & purchase” process. Our bank details will then be emailed to you.
Please note that every paid registration for either the online or classroom full course will be posted a complimentary copy of the “yellow book” – Elimination of American Foulbrood Disease without the Use of Drugs. You are encouraged to be familiar with the book before the course, you can bring it along on the day as the test at the end of the course is open book. If you have not had time to study the book, the course itself will hold the information required to pass the test at the end of the course. This book is a great resource for all beekeepers.
Extra information
There is a break for lunch then completion of the course and assessment in the afternoon. Applicants must bring their lunch and any drinks they require for the day.
The classroom-based courses are limited to 25 paid participants – they will be listed as full once this limit has been reached.
When available, an infected AFB frame will be available for beekeepers to see symptoms of AFB in person.
The assessment is available in Māori, Korean, Filipino and Mandarin (Simplified Chinese). Please email training@nzbb.org.nz if you require assistance registering.
